Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence has teamed with $#*! My Dad Says writer Justin Halpern for a new sitcom pilot.

Halpern - who developed the popular Twitter account 'S**t My Dad Says' and its TV spinoff starring William Shatner - will script the project with co-writer Patrick Schumacker.

Based on Halpern's book of the same name, I Suck at Girls is a coming-of-age tale that follows a boy as he becomes a man and later father, Deadline reports.

Lawrence, Halpern and Schumacker will executive produce. Warner Bros TV optioned the book in February, three months before its May 15 publication date.

Last year, Lawrence sold comedy pilot Like Father to Fox but the project was not picked up to series. His Cougar Town co-creator Kevin Biegel has also sold a new sitcom to Fox this development season.
