The Glades, starring Matt Passmore, has been picked up for another season by A&E.
Co-star Jordan Wall revealed that the drama will return for a fourth season in 2013 through the show's Facebook page.
The Glades follows Passmore as Detective Jim Longworth, who previously worked at Chicago but moves to South Florida and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement after he was falsely accused of sleeping with his captain's wife.
Wall plays 20-something grad student Daniel Green, who helps Longworth solve his cases.
Passmore recently addressed comparisons between The Glades and CSI: Miami with Digital Spy.
He explained: "They are completely different shows. CSI does what it does very well, but it has a very serious note and from what I've seen it takes its mysteries very seriously.
"Our show pretty much is on the flip side of everything. I guess we're showing the absurd side and having more fun with the characters and even having more fun with that world. It's like night and day.
"There is still certain elements [like being in] Miami or being a cop procedural brings out that they can cross over a little bit, but I don't think David Caruso can be looking at Jim Longworth and thinking we're a copycat. It's quite the opposite."
