Jenna Dewan joins 'Witches of East End' pilot

Jenna Dewan has signed on to join the new Lifetime television pilot Witches of East End.

The Step Up actress will play one of star Julia Ormond's daughters, struggling to keep her supernatural powers a secret.



According to TVLine, Dewan will play Freya Beauchamp, a free spirit who settles down with her millionaire fiancé Dash Gardiner in the secluded Long Island town of North Hampton.

A series of events forces Ormond's character to reveal to her two adult daughters that they are in fact powerful, immortal witches.

The pilot is based on the best-selling novel by Melissa de la Cruz, and written by Eastwick creator Maggie Friedman.

The hour-long pilot for Witches of East End is expected to air later this year.

Jenna Dewan will next be seen on television in the upcoming season of American Horror Story.
