'Heroes' creator not afraid of killing
Heroes creator Tim Kring will follow the lead of Lost in killing off major characters as the show progresses.

"This show will survive on our ability to kill off characters and repopulate," he told TV Guide. "But everything's been going so well it's been hard to pull the trigger on anyone."

Nevertheless, Kring has already pulled the trigger on his first major character, Eden, in last week's midseason finale in the US. He added that there would be "other deaths before the end of the season".

"The fact that I could get killed off at any time is sad... because I love this show so much," said Greg Grunberg, who plays mind-reading policeman Matt Parkman. "Trust me, I try to butter up Tim Kring every chance I get."

Heroes airs on Sci Fi Channel in the UK from February 19.
