The low-rated MyNetwork TV is considering dropping its non-stop telenovela scheduling plan, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Since going on-air back on September 5 to provide primetime programming to Fox-owned stations losing their WB affiliation due to the creation of The CW, MyNetwork has aired two telenovelas per weeknight with hour-long recap episodes on Saturdays.
However, the network has failed to engage with viewers, with the telenovelas averaging a tiny 1% share of viewing. According to the Reporter, network executives are mulling replacing them with non-drama programmes on some nights.
