An American version of the BBC's Springwatch programme has been picked up by Animal Planet.
The show, which will follow a similar format to the Bill Oddie-hosted UK version, will be presented by Animal Planet personalities Jeff Corwin and Vanessa Garnick.
Animal Planet is boosting its programming budget by around 14% year-on-year, according to Variety, on the back of strong ratings increases among total viewers and its 25-54 target demographic.
