NBC has joined with DVD rental firm Netflix to offer subscribers a Heroes catch-up DVD ahead of the show's return on January 22.
The NBC DVD will become available to customers of Netflix's online movie rental service today. It will contain a specially produced recap of Heroes' highly-rated and critically acclaimed first 11 episodes.
NBC will also offer a sneak peak at Raines, its new drama starring Jeff Goldblum, and the full first episode of The Black Donnellys, another new drama from Crash director Paul Haggis.
"We think the combination of an exclusive catch-up for audiences who have not yet discovered Heroes, the pilot of The Black Donnellys, as well as a preview of Raines, will make a very attractive offering for Netflix subscribers," said NBCU TV Group chief marketing officer John Miller.
