Oprah Winfrey's production company and studio are being sued by a woman who claims that she suffered "permanent injuries" when she attended a taping of the show.

Tanya Milner has alleged that she was pushed down stairs to the show's seating area when employees opened gates to let audience members in. Her suit, filed against Harpo, Harpo Productions and Harpo Studios, explained that the waiting area for guests was overcrowded and members of the public were "pushing and shoving" to get seats.

Milner is suing for $50,000 dollars in damages for her "severe and permanent" injuries which will cause her "pain and suffering and disability". She claims that crew members did not protect the safety of audience members by trying to control the crowd.

Specific details of Ms Milner's injuries are currently unknown.
