'SG-1' star joins 'Atlantis' for season four

Stargate SG-1 star Amanda Tapping will join Stargate Atlantis for the show's fourth season, it has been confirmed.
Tapping will reprise her role as astrophysicist Samantha Carter. She played Carter during SG-1's entire ten year run, and will appear in 14 of Atlantis season four's 20 episodes.
Tapping's move to Atlantis comes as Sci-Fi Channel in the US prepares to air the last 10 episodes of SG-1.
