'The Mentalist' falls to series low rating on Sunday

NBC edged Sunday night's ratings battle with its NFL coverage, while The Mentalist dropped to a series low rating for CBS.

Sunday Night Football's game between the Chargers and the Saints dropped from last week's 9.0 18-49 demo rating to 7.2 and 18.31 million viewers at 8.30-11pm.

Fox's Simpsons 'Treehouse of Horror' special dropped to a 3.1 rating (6.52m) at 8pm. The Cleveland Show's premiere was up on last year's opener, achieving a 2.2 score (4.43m) at 7.30pm.

Bob's Burgers dropped three tenths to 2.3 (4.84m) at 8.30pm. Family Guy rose slightly to 3.4 (6.74m) at 9pm. American Dad also jumped a tenth to 2.6 (5.18m) at 9.30pm.

ABC's America's Funniest Home Videos achieved a 1.5 rating (6.46m) at 7pm, even with last year's opener.

Once Upon a Time fell six tenths from last week to 3.3 (9.62m) at 8pm. Revenge also dropped six tenths to 2.6 (8.27m) at 9pm. 666 Park Avenue dropped half a ratings point to 1.7 (5.08m) at 10pm.

CBS's 60 Minutes scored the biggest ratings of the night outside of sports, taking in a 3.8 (16.07m) figure at 7.30pm.

The Amazing Race was even with last week with a 2.5 (9.77m) at 8.30pm. The Good Wife dropped a tenth to 1.7 (8.95m) at 9.30pm, the lowest fall rating ever for the series.

Finally, The Mentalist fell to a new series low of 1.6 (8.70m) at 10.30pm.
