ABC turns 'Cavemen' ads into TV show
Published Friday, Mar 2 2007, 10:19 GMT | By Neil Wilkes
ABC has greenlit a new comedy pilot based on a series of adverts for insurance company Geico.
The commercials assert that the firm's website is so easy to use that "even a cavemen could do it". A number of cavemen are seen in modern settings reacting with offence to the slogan.
The pilot, being written by ad creator Joe Lawson, will follow three cavemen who "must battle prejudice as they attempt to live as normal thirtysomethings in modern Atlanta".
Meanwhile, Donald Sutherland has joined the cast of new ABC drama Dirty Sexy Money, billed as a cross between Dynasty and Six Feet Under. The veteran actor will play the father of Peter Krause's lead.
