A spokesperson for the late-night series indicated on Sunday (October 28) night that Jimmy Kimmel Live's full week of shows in Brooklyn would go on as scheduled , but Kimmel has tweeted that plans were changed this morning.
Kimmel wrote: "Though it pains us to do it, JKLfrom #Brooklyn tonight is cancelled. I'm disappointed too, but we want you to be safe."
Tonight's show was to have featured guests Alicia Keys, Chris Rock and Kelly Ripa.
Howard Stern, David Letterman, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert and Vampire Weekend had been lined up for the rest of the week, but it is unclear if those shows will go forward.
Late Night with Jimmy Fallon is expected to air tonight, although Jimmy Fallon has tweeted that the studio audience has been sent home.
The Late Show with David Letterman is expected to tape its show on Monday as scheduled as well.
