Jimmy Fallon recorded a special introduction for yesterday's Late Night show as New York prepared for Hurricane Sandy.
The talkshow host opened the episode from the streets of New York City, explaining that the audience had been "sent home", before performing his monologue for an empty audience.
"All of our guests came, which was big for us," Fallon admitted.
"We were worried that we weren't going to get guests but we got some good ones here."
Stars on the show included Seth Myers, Padma Lakshmi, Robert Zemeckis and musical guests Imagine Dragons and regular house band The Roots.
"Welcome to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon everybody, please keep it down," Fallon quipped at the top of his monologue to rows of empty seats.
