Chloe Sevigny has admitted that she wants to appear in a third season of American Horror Story.

The Big Love actress currently appears in season two of the FX horror drama as Shelly the Nymphomaniac.

"Oh, my God, I hope [I'll be back next season]," Sevigny told Collider. "Ryan [Murphy] teased that, and I was like, 'Don't tease me, unless you're going to come through on your promise!'

"I want to come back and work with this cast again, or at least some of them. It's a great gig. What actress wouldn't want to do it? It's so much fun! You get to be in this heightened environment. It's a dream."

American Horror Story is known for bringing back former stars in new roles, with season one actors Jessica Lange, Zachary Quinto, Sarah Paulson, Frances Conroy, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe and Dylan McDermott all returning for the second season - subtitled Asylum - as new characters.

Chloe Sevigny recently signed up to star in a US remake of Danish crime drama Those Who Kill, following the end of her transgender assassin series Hit & Miss.

The series continues on FX in the US on Wednesdays and airs on Tuesdays on FX UK.
