The Hello Ladies pilot was co-written and directed by Merchant, along with US Office writers Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky.
The show stars Merchant as a geeky Englishman attempting to find an ideal woman in Los Angeles.
Merchant used the same title and general theme for his Hello Ladies stand-up tour in 2011.
FlashForward actress Christine Woods, Nate Torrence and Kevin Weisman also starred in the pilot episode.
