"I guess what will most surprise a lot of people who may not be die-hard fans who haven't known me for a long time is the honesty," Minaj explained.
She continued: "I'm not trying to have a façade. I'm showing exactly what goes on in my life. I think people will be surprised at seeing that.
"[Viewers will see] the crazy stuff and high momentum [and see me in] the studio where it's reflective."
Minaj also acknowledged that it was not easy for her to allow cameras to follow her every move for weeks at a time.

"I'm such a private person, it was a bit hard," she admitted. "When I'm around my circle I just kind of loosen up. You'll see by the first episode that I didn't care that the cameras were on."
Nicki Minaj: My Truth will follow the star recording her next album in New York and Miami, capture her at an American Idol photo shoot, and document her highly-publicised UK tour.
The first episode of the three-part series airs 10.30/9.30c on E! on Sunday, November 4.
