NBC has signed a three-year, first-look development deal with former Paramount Pictures chief Gail Berman and former ABC entertainment president Lloyd Braun.
Berman and Braun are the principals of the newly-formed BermanBraun independent production company, which brings together two executives who between them shepherded shows such as 24 and Lost to the air.
Their deal with NBC will see them providing creative content across all the network's properties ranging from the NBC broadcast network to cable channels including Sci Fi and USA.
"Not only do Lloyd and Gail have phenomenal track records developing shows like Lost, American Idol, Grey's Anatomy, House and Desperate Housewives, but they are both experienced broadcast network programmers who understand what it takes to develop great content," said Marc Graboff, president of NBCU Television West Coast. "With their great taste and their valuable experience, we are thrilled that they have chosen NBC Universal as their television home."
