A February episode of CSI will see Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise) arrive in Las Vegas, with D.B. Russell (Ted Danson) then heading to New York for the following episode of CSI: NY.
The two-parter will focus on Taylor's efforts to locate his missing girlfriend Christine (Megan Dodds) - the detective partners with Russell when it appears that she may have been captured, but soon faces the prospect of having to break police protocol to find her kidnappers.
CSI's crossover episode will air on February 6 on CBS, with the CSI: NY instalment wrapping up the story on February 8.
Both shows previously staged a crossover with the now-axed CSI: Miami, with the character of Raymond Langston (Fishburne) appearing on all three shows.
Former CSI star Gary Dourdan, who played Warrick Brown, recently filed for bankruptcy - the star has faced several legal troubles over the past few years following his exit from the crime drama in 2008.
