Speculation surrounds 'Veronica Mars' future
Published Friday, Mar 16 2007, 12:26 GMT | By Neil Wilkes

According to several reports, The CW network is likely to axe the teen detective series at the end of its current, third season - even though its season-to-date ratings have been the best ever.
One other possibility under consideration, as reported by E! Online's Kristin Veitch, is that the show would undergo a radical overhaul for its fourth season. The new format would be set four years in the future and follow the title character - played by Kristin Bell - in her new career as an FBI agent. Other regular members of the current cast would be unlikely to make a return.
