Morgan Freeman has taped a pro-gay marriage advert for the Human Rights Campaign.
The Dark Knight Rises actor narrates a new commercial titled 'Dawn of a New Day for Marriage Equality', which compares the struggle of the LGBT community to the Civil Rights movement.
"Freedom, justice and human dignity have always guided our journey toward a more perfect union," Freeman narrates in the clip. "Now, across our country, we are standing together for the right of gay and lesbian Americans to marry the person they love.
"With historic victories for marriage, we've delivered a mandate for full equality."
The Human Rights Campaign's advertisement also touches on the recent legalization of same sex unions in Maine, Washington and Maryland.
Freeman is joined in taking a public stance in support of same sex marriage by celebrities such as Hugh Hefner, Sophia Bush and Bryan Cranston.
Brad Pitt donated $100,000 to campaigns that successfully advocated the legalization of gay marriage in Maine, Washington and Maryland in the November 6 election.
