The first trailer for the second season of Lena Dunham's Girls has debuted online.
The clip - soundtracked by Ellie Goulding's 'Anything Could Happen' - shows each of the central four women trying to come to terms with their recent life dramas including a break-up, loss of virginity and shotgun wedding.
The trailer opens with Dunham's character contemplating ex-boyfriend Adam's "murdery" personality as she watches a video of him playing guitar and singing about his love for her.
Zosia Mamet's Shoshanna can then be seen deciding to celebrate being "deflowered... but not devalued", while her roommate Marnie (Allison Williams) adapts to single life. Jemima Kirke's Jessa can also be seen struggling with her sudden marriage to venture capitalist Thomas John (Chris O'Dowd).
Girls returns to US screens on Sunday, January 13 at 9pm on HBO, with Sky Atlantic showing the first episode of the second season a day later at 10pm in the UK.
