Coleman will play Felicity - a successful businesswoman who inspires Wilson's character Kimmie, TVLine reports.

The role was played by The Mindy Project's Anna Camp in the original multi-camera CBS pilot, which also starred Jenny Slate (Saturday Night Live) and Edi Patterson (Curb Your Enthusiasm).

Slate and Patterson have been replaced by NCIS actress Liza Lapira and Lars and the Real Girl star Lauren Ash respectively in the new single-camera ABC version.

In addition to her Newsroom role, latest cast addition Coleman has recently appeared on The Mindy Project, Rizzoli & Isles and Hart of Dixie.

Super Fun Night focuses on three nerdy female friends - Kimmie, Helen-Alice (Lapira) and Marika (Ash) - and their quest to have "super fun" every Friday night.
