Thursday, Friday ratings: 'X Factor' finale down, 'Fringe' dips

Fox won Thursday's TV ratings in both the 18-49 demographic and total viewers.

The network's live X Factor finale - which saw Tate Stevens crowned the winner - was down on last year, but vastly up from last week, winning the night with a 3.1 18-49 demo score and 9.64 million viewers at 8pm.

ABC's CMA Country Christmas took in a 1.5 (7.28m), down from last year's 2.1 score.

NBC's A White House Christmas achieved a 1.6 (8.46m) at 8pm, while Rock Centre was down to a 0.8 (3.50m) score at 10pm.

On Friday, ABC and Fox were tied in the 18-49 demo, while ABC topped the night with total viewers.

ABC's Back to the Beginning With Christiane Amanpour achieved a 1.1 (5.24m) at 9pm.

Fox's Fringe dipped a tenth from last week to 1.0 (3.02m) at 9pm.

NBC's Dateline fell steeply from last week's Sandy Hook special to a 0.8 (3.78m) score at 10pm.

The rest of the night was taken up by reruns or Christmas specials, with Blake Shelton's Not So Family Christmas scoring 1.0 (5.04m) at 8pm for NBC.
