Second season for '30 Rock'

NBC has confirmed that 30 Rock has been picked up for a second season.
The freshman workplace comedy follows the cast and crew of a fictional Saturday Night Live genre comedy sketch show based at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York. The show is led by a triumvirate of Tina Fey (ex-SNL and also creator and executive producer), Alec Baldwin and Tracy Morgan. Jane Krakowski (Ally McBeal) and Jack McBrayer (Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby) also star.
"From the beginning, 30 Rock has proven to be the kind of quality comedy that doesn't come around very often, and we are very pleased to have this show back for a second season," said NBC entertainment president Kevin Reilly. "We expect it to continue to build its increasingly loyal audience and become another of NBC's classic comedy series."
The show will return to the air tonight, April 5, with a classic NBC "supersized" episode running from 8:40pm-9:20pm Eastern. The show will air out the remainder of its current season in a half-hour slot at 9pm on Thursday nights starting April 12.
