Howard was recently the subject of a New York Post article where columnist Linda Stassi advised new CNN president Jeff Zucker that the shock jock could help turn around the channel's flagging ratings.

His spouse Beth was asked if she supports Howard taking a position with CNN while attending the TCAs over the weekend.
"[Howard] forwarded [the article] to me and I thought, 'That's a great idea'," she declared to Access Hollywood, adding: "Howard on CNN? I'd like to see it happen!"
She went on to say: "I don't think that he would bring strippers on! I think that he would take something like that very seriously.
"I think it would be really incredible for people to see that side of him - which I think people are kind of seeing on America's Got Talent. But I think on something like CNN it would be pretty awesome."
Howard is currently midway through his five-year contract with Sirius XM Radio, which he has said will possibly mark the end of his radio career.
He has also signed for a second season of judging America's Got Talent alongside Howie Mandel and a replacement for the departing Sharon Osbourne.
