Fred Armisen 'has no plans to leave Saturday Night Live'

Fred Armisen has suggested that he won't leave Saturday Night Live at the end of this season.

There have been frequent rumours of Armisen quitting SNL in recent years due to the success of his series Portlandia, but the actor has downplayed those claims.

"I thrive most when I have to juggle things," Armisen explained to ET Online. "The more I keep myself occupied and jump from thing to thing, the more I think it enriches both."

The actor went on to insist that he still gets tremendous enjoyment from Saturday Night Live.

"I'm having such a good time on SNL, it's still so much fun," Armisen explained.

Armisen joined Saturday Night Live in 2002, becoming an early standout for characters such as the Latin comic Fericito and bizarre European Nuni Schoener.
