Aldean offered a preview of his appearance on the CBS awards show while speaking to Parade.

"I'm not used to playing a lot of black-tie events, but I'm going to get on stage and have fun and bring a country rock flair to the show," he said. "It's my first time being nominated, and anything that comes from the fans is extra special."

The musician also shared which artists he would nominate as his favourite country music performers of the last year.

"Luke Bryan is one of my
closest friends, and I don't think anybody has had a bigger year," he commented. "I'm also a big fan of Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, and Carrie Underwood. A lot of us hit the scene at the same time, so it's cool to see your friends doing well."
