Girls - the breakout comedy hit of 2012 - returns this week for its second season.

Hannah, Marnie, Jessa and Shoshanna are back to remind us that no matter how awkward our sex lives are, no matter how creepy our boss is, and no matter how irritating our hipster friends are, we could be doing a lot worse.

Girls creator Lena Dunham picked up two Golden Globes last night (January 13) for 'Best TV Series - Musical or Comedy' and 'Best Actress in a TV Series - Musical or Comedy' for her role as Hannah.

The first season was voted Digital Spy's No.6 show of 2012 by our TV team.

Girls airs in the US on Sundays at 9pm on HBO. Season two starts in the UK tonight (January 14) at 10pm on Sky Atlantic.
