Wednesday ratings: 'Modern Family' top, People's Choice Awards up

ABC topped Wednesday night in the 18-49 demographic, but CBS won the most viewers.

The alphabet network's The Middle rose three tenths from its last episode to a 2.4 18-49 score and 8.44 million viewers at 8pm.

The Neighbors jumped a decent four tenths to 2.0 (6.63m) at 9pm.

Modern Family won the night overall as usual, leaping five tenths to 4.7 (11.96m) at 9pm.

Suburgatory was also up five tenths from its last episode to 2.7 (6.98m) at 9.30pm, while Nashville was up a single tenth to 2.0 (5.82m) at 10pm.

NBC's Whitney dipped four tenths from last week to 1.4 (4.17m) at 8pm. Guys With Kids was also down four tenths to 1.3 (3.98m) at 8.30pm.

Law & Order: SVU dropped one tenth to 2.1 (8.33m) at 9pm, while Chicago Fire was down two tenths from last week's series high to 2.2 (7.96m) at 10pm.

CBS's I Get That a Lot landed a score of 2.0 (7.75m), down three tenths from its equivalent score last year.

The People's Choice Awards rose a tenth from 2012, taking in a score of 2.6 (9.64m) at 9pm.

Fox's special Stars in Danger: The High Dive attracted a rating of 1.3 (3.36m) at 8pm.
