Monday ratings: 'The Following' premiere strong, 'Castle' up

CBS won Monday night's ratings battle in both the 18-49 demographic and total viewers.

How I Met Your Mother was down 5% from last week's season high to 3.7 (10.09m) at 8pm.

2 Broke Girls dropped 10% to the same figure of 3.7, but was the most watched show of the night with 11.47 million viewers at 9pm.

Mike & Molly fell 6% to 3.3 (10.85m) at 9.30pm, while Hawaii Five-0 was down 8% to 2.2 (9.58m) at 10pm.

Fox's The Following achieved the second highest debut for a drama this season with a score of 3.2 (10.38m) at 9pm.

This is 6% down from January 2012's Alcatraz debut, but up a huge 120% from the premiere of its previous timeslot holder The Mob Doctor last fall.

Bones was up 10% from last week to 2.3 (8.47m) at 8pm.

NBC's The Biggest Loser matched last week's 2.4 (6.07m) at 8pm. Deception was down 19% to 1.3 (3.61m) at 10pm.

ABC's The Bachelor was even with last week's 2.5 (7.48m) at 8pm, while Castle was up 5% to 2.0 (8.72m) at 10pm.

The CW's The Carrie Diaries dropped 17% from last week's premiere episode to 0.5 (1.28m) at 8pm.

90210 tumbled 33% from its last original episode in December to 0.4 (0.79m) at 9pm.
