Goglia - who appeared in Emma Stone film comedy Easy A - will play Eve, the canny daughter of Fox's new anchor Mike Burnaby, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The currently-untitled series will follow Burnaby - who, like Fox, has Parkinson's disease - as he returns to work following a hiatus.
Goglia's past credits include episodes of Desperate Housewives, Two and a Half Men and Private Practice.
The 17-year-old joins Breaking Bad's Betsy Brandt - cast as Burnaby's wife - and The Wire actor Wendell Pierce - Mike's boss Harris.
NBC has ordered 22 episodes of the sitcom, which will debut in fall 2013. The network's President of Entertainment Jennifer Salke recently described the comedy as "an incredible show".
"Michael came in and pitched us the show, and it's completely inspired by his life as a father and a husband and a family man who is grappling with his disease," she explained.
