Prince turned down 'Simpsons' script

According to the show's creator Matt Groening, the Purple Rain singer wanted to use a script written by his chauffeur and pulled out at the last minute when producers refused to accept it.
"Prince wanted to do the show, so we wrote him a script," Groening told the New York Daily News. "It didn't work out, because his chauffeur had written a script too, and Prince wanted to use that one."
