'Parade's End' star Tom Mison

Parade's End actor Mison joins Nicole Beharie (Shame), Orlando Jones (Evolution) and Katia Winter (Dexter) in Fox's television version.

The 30-year-old English actor has previously appeared in episodes of Secret Diary of a Call Girl, Lewis and New Tricks, with Sleepy Hollow marking his first major US television role.

Star Trek Into Darkness writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci have penned the pilot, which will be directed by Total Recall's Len Wiseman.

The script sees the character of Crane 'time-warped' from the Revolutionary War to the present, where he teams with Detective Abbie Archer (Beharie) to thwart his returning foe, the Headless Horseman.

The CW was also revealed last year to be working on its own Sleepy Hollow TV pilot, but that project is no longer thought to be in active development.
