'Medium' picked up for fourth season

NBC has given the go-ahead to a fourth season of supernatural drama Medium ahead of next week's upfront presentations.
The show, which stars Patricia Arquette as a psychic who helps solve crimes, has done solid numbers for the network in its Wednesday, 10pm slot, with a season-to-date average of 8.5 million viewers overall and a 3.0 rating / 8 share in 18-49.
"Medium is a quality show with an outstanding star that has always delivered a very loyal audience," said Kevin Reilly, president of NBC Entertainment. "We are pleased to know that we can look forward to more of its unique storytelling next year under executive producer Glenn Gordon Caron's superb creative vision."
