Report: 'Battlestar Galactica' to end next year
The upcoming fourth season of Battlestar Galactica will reportedly be the revived show's last, according to reports.

Speaking to website IESB, Admiral Adama actor Edward James Olmos revealed that "as far as we know... this is the final season... so enjoy it while it's here."

Actress Katee Sackhoff, who plays the Starbuck role played in the original series by Dirk Benedict, offered her views on why the end is in sight for the acclaimed show. "I think part of the problem is that it’s an expensive show," she explained, "but we don’t have the viewership that a great show should get."

The fourth season will begin airing on the Sci-Fi Channel in January next year, with its UK debut expected on Sky One shortly afterwards.

BSG is the best drama on TV. Hopefully they change their minds.

I'm not sad to see it go. It's gone a long way off from what I want. Maybe someone else will commision a good show to replace it?

Bah. This show jumped the shark with it's prophets, gods and destiny mumbo jumbo. Shame, really. It started off very strongly with it's grounded theme of survival.
