'Battlestar Galactica' not axed, claims producer

Last week actor Edward James Olmos, who plays Admiral Adama, reportedly stated at an awards ceremony that "as far as we know... this is the final season... so enjoy it while it's here."
However, the broadcaster countered this by issuing a statement from Battlestar's executive producer David Eick. "For those of you have been paying attention over the years, this is not the first time Eddie [Olmos] has made an announcement about the possibility of the show's end," explained Eick. "I promise you that when [fellow executive producer] Ron [Moore] and I make a decision about Galactica's future, we'll let you know."
