Apocalyptic drama Jericho has been axed, CBS confirmed Tuesday as it prepared to unveil its 2007-08 schedule in New York.
The series debuted to respectable ratings last September but failed to retain a significant audience when it returned from an extended mid-season hiatus.
Also for the axe are The Class, a comedy from Friends alumnus David Crane, and Jerry Bruckheimer's second season drama Close To Home.
