Mom is slated to receive its official pick-up from CBS as early as tomorrow (May 8), Deadline reports.

The sitcom follows Christy, a newly sober single parent who tries to get her life back on track in Napa Valley.

Faris will play the title character, and the show's supporting cast includes French Stewart (3rd Rock From the Sun) and Courtney Henggeler (Friends with Benefits).

Lorre wrote the spec for the pilot, which will be produced by Warner Bros TV and Chuck Lorre Productions.

Mum is scheduled to take the 8:30 PM time slot on Monday nights following the final season of How I Met Your Mother.

CBS will officially confirm its 2013-14 lineup at its upfront presentation next Wednesday (May 15).
