ITV2 has struck a deal with Warner Bros International Television Distribution to air the series in the UK, Broadcast reports.

Mom will follow a single mother (Faris) who must care for her young daughter and her mother, played by The West Wing's Alison Janney.

"Putting quality comedy, both acquired and original on ITV2 is a vital part of the channel's strategy," said ITV's Director of Digital Channels, Angela Jain.

"Chuck Lorre needs no introduction, he is a comedy genius. With that pedigree, Mom was a must-have for us and we hope ITV2 viewers agree that it is a laugh-out loud treat."

ITV2 has also acquired the rights to the first ten seasons of Two and a Half Men - another Lorre creation - and will begin airing episodes in 2014.
