Reports in Variety have indicated that the stars of hit series Friends are in contractural negotiations with NBC and Warner Bros. TV.
No comment has been made from either party on the reports, although it is believed that the cast are bargaining collectively for a deal that would earn them $1.1m each per episode. USA Today reported in January that the cast had turned down a $800,000 offer; while NBC commented that the future of the show depended on the willingness of the cast to continue.
It was widely thought that US television's top-rated comedy would terminate at the end of its current season.
