Larry King lands Paris Hilton interview
Published Sunday, Jun 24 2007, 14:33 BST | By James Welsh
Larry King Live will be the venue for Paris Hilton's first post-jail interview on American TV.
CNN will devote an entire hour to Hilton during primetime on Wednesday, June 27, and it is understood that no fee has been paid.
The news comes after NBC denied paying $1m in image licence fees in an attempt to secure an interview with Hilton. NBC swiftly disassociated itself with Hilton and it is understood that ABC journalist Barbara Walters, who has a close friendship with Paris' mother Kathy, subsequently turned down an interview opportunity.
In a statement, Hilton said: "I am thrilled that Larry King has asked me to appear on his programme."
