Wimbledon goes mobile in the States

NBC Sports has teamed up with Verizon to offer Wimbledon coverage on mobile phones in the United States.
Mobile coverage of The Championships will be offered starting Saturday, June 30 to subscribers taking the NBC2Go service via Verizon's V Cast mobile TV service.
"NBC Sports is committed to delivering the tradition and excitement of Wimbledon to our audience on all of our platforms," said Perkins Miller, senior vice president of digital media at NBC Sports and Olympics. "Now tennis fans will be able to watch Wimbledon wherever they are with our live broadcasts on NBC2Go."
NBC2Go is currently available in 30 markets including New York, Atlanta and Chicago.
