LA Law to make a comeback

NBC has announced that a sequel to the award-winning LA Law has commenced production in Vancouver. A two-hour special will reunite members of the show's old cast. The show lasted eight seasons, being transmitted from October 1986 through to May 1994.

The show is set more than 10 years after Michael Kuzak (Hamlin) left McKenzie-Brackman, the law firm run by Douglas Brackman Jr. (Rachins) since the retirement of Leland McKenzie (Dysart). Kuzak now runs one of LA's hottest restaurants - but finds himself dragged reluctantly back into the legal arena when a past case re-emerges.
William Finkelstein, a former executive producer of the show, wrote the script. David Madden is the executive producer for the special, Phillip M. Goldfarb is the producer, and Michael Schultz of Ally McBeal and The Practice fame directs the movie from Fox TV Pictures.
