Rachel Griffiths has admitted that she wanted to quit TV after completing work on Six Feet Under.
The actress revealed that she only agreed to take on a role in ABC drama Brothers and Sisters because she was so enthralled by the character of Sarah.
"I really wasn't going to do anything - you know, the reality of having two young kids," Griffiths told WENN. "And then I read this script. I really had a strong reaction to how it would feel to be Sarah, where I was at in my life, where she was. That felt good.
"Then I went off to the interview, hoping the producers were b***ards so that I'd have a valid reason not to do the show. And, of course, they utterly charmed me."
Griffiths played Six Feet Under's Brenda Chenowith for five years.
