NBC is planning a crossover story arc for its hit dramas Third Watch and ER.
Sherry Stringfield, who plays Dr. Susan Lewis on ER pays an emergency house call on Third Watch when her character flies to New York to work with the city’s 55th precinct cops to search for her missing relatives.
The Third Watch episode will be broadcast on Monday, April 29 (9-10 p.m. ET). The crossover storyline will begin in a prior episode of ER on Thursday, April 25 (10-11 p.m. ET) when Dr. Lewis receives an urgent call from a frightened family member that compels her to head to New York as fast as possible.
The concerned ER doctor arrives in New York and works with Officers Yokas (Molly Price) and "Bosco" Boscorelli (Jason Wiles) as well as with paramedics Kim Zambrano (Kim Raver) and Alex Taylor (Amy Carlson) - all of whom will appear on both ER and Third Watch.
Stringfield - one of ER's original cast regulars - returned to the drama last fall after departing in November 1996 during the series' third season in which she starred as a fourth-year emergency resident.
