Former Boy Meets World star Will Friedle has landed a part on new UPN sitcom The Random Years, according to the AP.
Friedle was lined up for The WB's new comedy Off Centre, but at the last moment they gave the part to American Pie's Eddie Kaye Thomas instead.
"I look at it this way, everything worked out exactly the way it was supposed to," Friedle said at a press conference. "I'm on the show that I really wanted to be on. And I'm doing what I really wanted to do. And I think we're all happy to be where we are now and just ready to get started."
Co-star Sean Murray said that he was thrilled to be working on the sitcom, which is directed by David Lynch.
"I'm a fanatic about David Lynch," he said. "I've got his posters of all his movies all over the place. I've watched Twin Peaks probably 30 times, the whole series. It's just something that interested me heavily, his world and his stuff. I'm just a big fan."
The Random Years premieres Tuesday, March 5th at 9.30pm ET on UPN.
