NBC has locked in Carson Daly for two more years of the five-year-oldLast Call as the network prepares to transition to a new late-night lineup in 2009.
Both Daly and executive producer David Friedman have inked new agreements with NBC covering both the show and NBC's hallmark music-based New Year's Eve specials.
"Celebrating five years as a part of this incredible late-night lineup is a dream come true," said Daly. "Now I have more time to goof off late at night on NBC, and I can't help but think I am one lucky dude. We are having more fun than ever on the show and are continuing to break great new bands and talent. I'm very excited about the future of Last Call."
In 2009, NBC will debut a new late-night lineup with current 12:35am host Conan O'Brien moving to the Tonight show, with SNL alum Jimmy Fallon expected to take the Late Night slot.
