NBC has picked up third and sixth seasons respectively of America's Got Talent and Last Comic Standing.
Both shows are among the network's strongest summer performers; Talent in particular has fared well this season, taking the first-placed primetime ranking in total viewers and averaging an 11% share in the 18-49 demo this season.
"Both of these innovative series have proven to be summer staples and important franchises for NBC," said Craig Plestis, executive VP for alternative programming, development and specials at NBC Entertainment. "We have the most watched show in America's Got Talent, and one of the most upscale series in Last Comic Standing, and now viewers can look forward to seeing these popular brand series with fresh new shows again next summer."
