CBS wants US version of 'Worst Week'
Published Tuesday, Aug 7 2007, 11:16 BST | By James Welsh
CBS has picked up a pilot for an American version of the BBC series The Worst Week of My Life.
The pilot will be a joint production of Universal Media Studios and Hat Trick, the latter of which produced the original UK series.
The show follows the story of a couple trying to deal with the politics of their in-laws on a family holiday.
CBS may be hoping for third-time lucky with the pilot; Regency produced a US pilot for Fox back in 2005, and it was on NBC's development slate for this season.
Matt Tarses (Scrubs) has written the pilot, which will be directed by My Name Is Earl pilot director Marc Buckland.
