'The Closer', 'Saving Grace' renewed
Published Thursday, Aug 9 2007, 11:32 BST | By James Welsh
TNT has put in early renewal notices for key hits The Closer and Saving Grace.
Both shows, which sit together on Monday nights, are performing well for the cable channel, averaging 7m and 5m viewers respectively. Grace has performed particularly well, with the freshman show clearly benefiting from lead-in exposure. TNT has been sufficiently pleased that it has ordered 15 episodes of the series, an unusually large order at this point in the year and a possible indication that it plans to leverage its popularity by moving it to a new night and launching another original show behind it.
